Snowboarding For Newbies Instructional Videos
Whether you have taken lessons before, are currently taking lessons, have never had a lesson, have snowboarded a few times before, or want to teach your spouse, friends or boyfriend/girlfriend you will find value in these lessons.

Hundreds of people of varying abilities and talents all over the world have learned how to snowboard following theses instructions.
Some people pick it up faster than others. Don't get discouraged. Go at your own pace and you will learn.
It is important to follow each video in order. Please don't skip around. Trust us, all your questions will be answered.
This instruction was designed to be followed in order. Even if something seems silly or mundane please master it before moving on to the next skill. Each technique builds on the previous skill. These lessons were designed so you can be safe, have fun, and learn proper technique in the fastest, and easiest way possible.

DVD 1: Snowboard Equipment
Rent, borrow, or buy equipment. We recommend borrowing or renting your first few times snowboarding, until you get a good feel for your stance, bindings, and board. Your local snowboard shop can help you out. Or you can rent at the mountain. View the following lessons so you know what to look for and what to wear. Be sure to get your equipment ready at least one day before your first time snowboarding. Remember: Invest in a good helmet and/or wrist guards if you have weak wrists.

As a general rule you should master these lessons in 1-3 times snowboarding.

If you are struggling with one skill try going back and mastering the skill before it and then tackle the skill again. Also don't push yourself too hard. If you are tired and fatiqued you should stop, take a break, and come back another time or day. You will find you do much better the next time.

After you have been boarding for a while your snowboard gets knicks, gouges, frays, and looses it's glide. Also the edges become damaged and dull. To have the best experience you should get a wax and tune on your board as needed. Snowboard maintenance is something you can do yourself or have your local snowboard shop do for you. Whether you do it yourself or have someone else do it, it is important to know what is involved in the process so you can get the most benefit.
